Global Billing Assurance Specialist (US hours)

Position description

Join as a Global Billing Assurance (GBA) Specialist! You will be responsible for overseeing the billing health of customer contracts, ensuring alignment between customers, internal teams, and partners. This role manages the resolution of billing issues, supports lifecycle billing activities, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive billing accuracy and customer satisfaction. The GBA Specialist will coordinate activities across multiple internal teams and act as the escalation point for complex billing concerns.

Please note that this role requires US working hours, with flexible start times between 13:30 and 15:00 and end times between 20:00 and 23:30, depending on business needs (typical schedule: 14:00-22:30).

What will you do

• Lead customer billing reviews and alignment discussions to address billing concerns, improve understanding of invoicing processes, and manage expectations by providing updates, resolution timelines, and status communications.
• Drive the resolution of invoicing issues by coordinating investigations, overseeing issue closure, and supporting the review of disputed accounts receivable to ensure timely and accurate outcomes.
• Manage and oversee billing disputes and client billing concerns, including issue tracking, status reporting, dispute ticket management, and escalation of blockers to drive timely resolution.
• Lead investigations of billing-related system and process issues, ensuring accurate resolution through cross-functional collaboration, root-cause analysis, and post-bill validation reviews.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for billing-related inquiries, partnering with customers, Sales, Service Managers, and cross-functional teams to drive the resolution of disputed accounts receivable, payment discrepancies, and complex billing issues.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment and oversee pre-bill review activities to ensure billing accuracy, production readiness, and timely resolution of disputes through effective collaboration and issue management.
• Support strategic billing initiatives, including system migrations, digital transformation efforts, and process improvement projects to enhance billing operations and customer experience.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to manage billing activities for new contracts and complex scenarios, leading payment and accounts receivable investigations for critical accounts and unique billing arrangements.

What we expect

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in billing, finance, account management, or a related field; global business experience preferred
