Job description, responsibilities and duties
The role positions as a power solutions partner rather than a BESS supplier responding to a pre-defined battery specification. The Energy Engineer engages customers early in their power strategy – assessing grid interconnection feasibility, grid constraints and timelines before a site is locked in – and translates this into integrated power system designs (grid connection, on-site generation, demand flexibility and BESS) that make the proposals stronger and faster to approve.
Lead grid interconnection studies and utility/DSO/TSO engagement for data centre and utility-scale BESS projects – load flow, short-circuit and power quality assessments
Partner with Sales & BD to engage customers earlier – during site selection and power strategy, not only BESS sizing – assessing interconnection feasibility, available capacity and timeline risk before they commit to a site
