To strengthen the data team in the financial services industry, you'll take ownership of end-to-end data solutions, shape how we model and govern data across the group, and act as a technical reference point for less experienced colleagues.

This role suits a professional who works independently, gives shape to ideas and concepts, and takes care of the implementation and improvement of data sources — with only sporadic feedback needed.

What you'll do

• Own data pipelines end-to-end — Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, clean, transform, and load data from various sources into cloud data stores and clusters using Python, SQL, and PySpark.
• Design data models and the Enterprise Dimensional Model — Build models that support a single source of truth and are optimized for downstream analytics.
• Architect data solutions — Translate business requirements into scalable solutions using cloud data services, data storage, databases, and workflow automation.
• Data management and governance — Champion data quality practices, master/reference data, data catalogue, and data publishing; help implement governance and security controls across the data platform.
• Performance, cost and CI/CD optimization — Continuously monitor and improve pipeline performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, and apply CI/CD best practices to data pipeline development, including version control, automated testing, and deployment.
• Coach and mentor — Guide junior data engineers, review their work, and share knowledge across the team.
• Innovation — Identify improvement opportunities, contribute to setting them up, and drive their implementation.
