Job description, responsibilities and duties
Logistics Specialist is primarily responsible for facilitating all types of products movements and system maintenance of inventory at our stock points. This includes all kinds of processes related to Inbound, Outbound and coordination of warehouse activities.
Ensure logistics providers execute delivery of purchase orders, intercompany orders and sales orders meeting agreed delivery dates in line with agreed lead times and service expectations, monitor performance of logistics flows and execute corrective actions.
Plan and coordinate activities of logistics providers (carriers, brokers, vendors and warehouse operators) efficiently in order to optimize associated logistics costs.
Maintain accurate ETA information of Inbound deliveries on a timely basis as per information from carriers, in order to support correct Available to Promise information in SAP ERP system.
Facilitate document flow associated with inbound, intercompany and outbound flows (bills of lading, invoices, delivery notes…).
New customer set up for logistics requirements - review of customer logistics requirements Transportation tendering and planning activities. Tracking and Tracing shipments to ensure smooth order flow, accuracy and visibility
Stock controlling-stock maintenance in SAP Rework process planning with the 3PL, Returns processing
Invoice adjustment and authorization (signing) for customs purposes
Resolving daily issues / irregularities / complaints from internal and external customers
Troubleshooting EDI transmission defects in communication with logistics providers
Communication and cooperation across different departments and teams in order to reach the objectives. (Supply Planning, Quality, Local Sales/Marketing teams, Accounts Payable, Order Management…)
Supporting Senior Manager, Warehousing & Logistics Europe by means of performing other activities and duties related to logistics processes.

3 -5 years of work experience in the Freight Forwarding or/and Public Warehousing Industry/supply chain environment Experience with Warehousing and International Ocean and Ground Transportation required, experience with other modes of transport (air, parcel rail), brokerage and trade compliance is a plus.
