Job description, responsibilities and duties

In this role, you will play an important role in managing credit, fraud and compliance risks across our merchant acquiring portfolio. The position offers opportunity to gain experience in card payments, financial risk, fraud prevention. You will work with a portfolio of companies across Central Europe and assess wide range of business models and industries.

Main responsibilities include:

• Assessing credit risk exposure within the merchant acquiring portfolio.
• Reviewing new and existing merchant accounts by evaluating their business model, financial position, creditworthiness and payment activity.
• Reviewing financial statements, credit history, ownership structure and other information to identify credit and fraud risks.
• Analyzing merchant transaction activity, including unusual processing patterns, refunds, chargebacks and other indicators of increased exposure.
• Ensuring that merchant activities comply with card network rules, internal risk policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identifying prohibited, restricted or higher-risk business activities and recommending appropriate conditions or risk mitigation measures.
• Advising business partners and sales teams on card payment risks and best practices.

Requirements for the employee

• University education (Master's degree)
• Postgraduate (Doctorate)
• Educational specialization: Finance, Economics, Law

Language skills

• Slovak - Advanced (C1)
• English - Advanced (C1)
