Your skills

Must-Have

• Degree in Business Administration, Controlling, Finance, or Information Systems (Bachelor sufficient)
• Hands-on SAP experience in any module — S/4HANA or SAC exposure a strong advantage
• Structured, process-oriented working style — comfortable with repetition and precision
• Treats data quality as a personal standard, not a checklist
• English business-proficient
• Comfortable operating in a fast-changing environment without waiting for perfect instructions

Nice-to-Have

• SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud experience in any functional area
• SAC Analytics or administrator exposure
• German basics
• Experience in master data or data quality roles
• Knowledge of intercompany structures or multi-entity group reporting

Personality — more important than the CV

• Finds genuine satisfaction in things being correct, complete, and consistent
• Asks before assuming — documents before moving on
• Does not need visibility. Needs order.
• Escalates data quality issues immediately rather than working around them
• Understands that clean master data is the foundation of every strategic decision the company makes

Development path

This role is explicitly designed as a grow-into path. Governance ownership — defining change processes, owning the master data framework, representing Controlling in IT design sessions — is year 2 and beyond. Year 1 is about executing maintenance flawlessly and building credibility through consistency.

Interview process

The interview process typically consists of:

• A short 15-minute introductory call with the HR department.
• A 1-hour interview with the hiring manager and HR.
• Depending on the position, a 20-minute call with a colleague from Germany or a department head.
