This position will facilitate the development and execution of long-term strategies that optimize quality, technology, risk mitigation and total cost for the local category (Logistic across Europe), annual spend of $60M+ USD across all modes of transportation including Ocean, Road, Air, and Parcel. Prior to strategy development, this position will be required to conduct a current state analysis to identify and evaluate spend and supplier activity, as well as procurement, reporting and data collection processes. In addition to regional responsibilities, this position is also responsible for defining global strategy (Logistics) as well as ensuring their implementation across all Europe business units.
To ensure the implementation of the local and global strategy, the scope of activity includes: Leading / supporting local / global negotiations with local / global suppliers. Negotiation of local and global contracts. Act as an expert in the strategic sourcing process within logistic categories including strategy execution, contract negotiations and cost reductions using tools such as “TCO”, Category Management, Strategy Sourcing, Cost Management, Porter Forces Matrix 5. Short/long term strategic planning aligned with SWOT, etc.). An example of this type of activity is the definition of a global strategy in the Logistics categories (GOB) or Europe Regional Road Bids. The RFQ is designed to establish a global/regional procurement strategy that optimizes costs, enhances service, improves availability, and maintains quality excellence.
Process management, through the creation and optimization of the purchasing process, complying with the purchasing process internally, in order to guarantee legal and financial compliance. Benchmark against best practices in other global regions and implement improvements where needed
Ensure the achievement of European business unit/division results through the management of relevant procurement indicators (KPIs) such as: "savings"; payment terms (FCF); SLA (Service Level Agreement) and other SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) KPI’s ; management of the process according to purchasing policy and constant search for improvements in the process, always with a view to achieving goals, ensuring that all activities are directed primarily to customer satisfaction, whether internal or external, using the company's tools through the dissemination corporate culture and adherence to the Code of Ethics.
