This position will facilitate the development and execution of long-term strategies that optimize quality, technology, risk mitigation and total cost for the local category (Logistic across Europe), annual spend of $60M+ USD across all modes of transportation including Ocean, Road, Air, and Parcel. Prior to strategy development, this position will be required to conduct a current state analysis to identify and evaluate spend and supplier activity, as well as procurement, reporting and data collection processes. In addition to regional responsibilities, this position is also responsible for defining global strategy (Logistics) as well as ensuring their implementation across all Europe business units.
To ensure the implementation of the local and global strategy, the scope of activity includes: Leading / supporting local / global negotiations with local / global suppliers. Negotiation of local and global contracts. Act as an expert in the strategic sourcing process within logistic categories including strategy execution, contract negotiations and cost reductions using tools such as “TCO”, Category Management, Strategy Sourcing, Cost Management, Porter Forces Matrix 5. The Specialist will act as the industry expert in the Europe region across all modes of transportation including Ocean, Road, Air, and Parcel.
