Our opportunity

We are looking for an employee with R coding skills to join a life protection team, a global function providing guidance, oversight, and development advice for life technical needs. The successful candidate will support a wider rollout to additional business units and products.

Compensation for roles depends on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific role, skill set, level of experience, and subject to applicable law. A range of compensation is provided aligned to internal job architecture and market benchmarks to ensure fair and consistent pay for comparable roles. The starting base salary range for this position is 2000 Eur.

Pracovná náplň

The technology investigates past claims and persistency in the life protection business to set appropriate assumptions for pricing future business. It enables business units to perform experience analysis using a modern data science platform, automate routine tasks, develop more sophisticated analytics, and achieve greater collaboration with the life protection team. The platform is a key enabler for executing the life strategy.

Your main responsibilities will involve:

• Working in collaboration with actuaries to understand products, data, and methodology
• Working in collaboration with actuaries and data scientists to develop R code for data preparation, ingestion and transformation
• Validating the implementation against any existing analysis for the relevant products
• Supporting data scientists and the technology team to align tools with R code and to deploy new code into production
• Supporting implementation of RMarkdown reports to document data outputs and results and to support business units in creating local best estimate basis reports
• Performing other ad-hoc tasks, such as supporting the life protection business in achieving the strategic goal of growing protection business globally. This may include building predictive models and supporting delivery change to business-unit pricing models.

Požiadavky

• 1+ years’ experience of working in an actuarial or data science team and experience working in data/analytics
• Knowledge of insurance products, pricing, and experience analysis, preferably in life insurance is an advantage
• Actuarial training/education, or strong willingness to participate in actuarial tasks and to learn actuarial methods and practices is desirable
