Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are looking for an QA professional who can independently own testing activities for a defined product area while contributing to automation and continuous quality improvements. If you are a technically strong QA Engineer who enjoys working on backend systems, APIs, and automation rather than UI-heavy testing. Your Responsibilities will include :
Test Strategy & Planning
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain feature-level test strategies and test plans.
- Determine appropriate test coverage across unit, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Define automation approaches and testing environment requirements.
Test Automation
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for:
- API testing
- Integration testing
- Regression testing
- End-to-end scenarios
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Continuously improve automation coverage and test reliability.
Manual Testing
- Execute manual testing for complex scenarios, exploratory testing, and newly developed features.
- Validate backend services, APIs, and platform functionality across releases.
Regression Testing
- Maintain regression test suites.
- Execute regression testing before every release.
- Identify, document, and track regressions through resolution.
Quality Assurance & Release Support
- Provide QA sign-off for completed features.
- Verify acceptance criteria and testing requirements are met.
- Ensure no critical defects remain before release.
Non-functional Testing (Support)
- Support performance, load, scalability, reliability, and security testing.
- Collaborate with DevOps on performance monitoring and environment validation.
Compliance and documentation
- Produce and maintain testing documentation, test evidence, and traceability records.
