About the role
You will be a mix of a designer, a problem solver, and a product specialist. You will be the go-to person for everything related to conveyor integration, ensuring robots and the new product line work in perfect harmony with the rest of the warehouse.
In this role, you will own the mechanical design and integration of conveyor systems. You won’t just be picking parts from a catalog; you will be adapting, designing, and implementing the "veins and arteries" of the automation systems. You’ll work closely with the R&D and Project teams to ensure that totes move seamlessly to and from the ASRS environment.
Core responsibilities
- Execute detailed 3D CAD designs for conveyor modules and integration interfaces using 3D CAD platforms.
- Help define how the new product interacts with conveyor lines to supply or store totes within the system.
- Take responsibility for the "Conveyor Scope" of projects — from initial layout and flow calculations to final hand-over.
- Work with external suppliers to select the right components and ensure they meet technical and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the workshop team to build and test new conveyor attachments or transfer modules.
- Act as the technical troubleshooter when conveyor systems meet complex warehouse constraints or unique robotic requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in mechanical design or project engineering, with exposure to material handling and conveyor systems is a must.
- Solid proficiency in 3D modeling and creating production-ready 2D drawings (the "CAD Ninja" mindset).
- A genuine interest in how things move and a drive to innovate rather than just follow standard procedures.
- You aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty on-site or in the lab to make sure a design works in reality.
- Good level of English and Slovak for collaborating with an international team and local suppliers.
- Willingness to visit customer sites occasionally to oversee installations or troubleshoot.
Benefits
- Daily breakfast in the office
- Option of working from home/hybrid work (in case the position allows it)
- Flexible work schedule (in case the position allows it)
- Sick days
- Parking for everyone, bike storage with showers and changing rooms on site
- Rooftop terrace with nice view
