Job description, responsibilities and duties
Start your career working with lasers, optics, and instruments used in scientific research around the world. We are looking for an early-career physicist to join our team and learn to test, troubleshoot, install, and support our laser spectroscopy systems.
You should have a sound understanding of physics, practical university laboratory experience, and an interest in working carefully with optical and electronic equipment. We will train you on our instruments. Previous industry or technical support experience is not required.
What you will do
You will begin with supervised work on instruments. As you demonstrate the necessary skills, you will take increasing responsibility for testing, troubleshooting, customer support, and installation visits.
The role will later include international travel for approximately 25–40% of working time, depending on service and installation schedules. Customer communication and travel will be an essential part of the position.
Recent graduates are welcome. Final-year students who can meet the full-time work and travel requirements are also welcome to apply. Experience with lasers, optical alignment, spectroscopy, electronics, or data analysis is an advantage, not a prerequisite.
